Writing is underway on the adaptation of Ben Fountain’s remarkable and multi-nominated novel, “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk”.
It will be written by Oscar-winning screenwriter, Simon Beaufoy (“Slumdog Millionaire”, “127 Hours”, “The Full Monty”), who is once again teamed with his friends at Film4.
Set in Dallas in 2005, and described as “poignant, riotously funny, and exquisitely heartbreaking”, the story follows infantryman Billy Lynn, a nineteen-year-old Texas native, and recounts the final few hours before he and his brothers-in-arms return to war in Iraq.
You fall in love with Billy and his buddies from the moment you step into their world. We cannot wait to bring them to life on screen.
