Jodie Foster To Star in ‘Hotel Artemis’ for The Ink Factory and Drew Pearce

Jodie Foster has come aboard to star in Hotel Artemis, Drew Pearce’s directorial debut that Simon and Stephen Cornwell are producing for The Ink Factory. The original script from Pearce (Iron Man 3, Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation, Godzilla), described as “a thriller in its own, distinctive crime universe,” is being produced by Adam Siegel and Marc Platt via Marc Platt Productions. The Ink Factory will also finance the project which is scheduled to start before the cameras in May or June of next year.

The Ink Factory’s Becky Sloviter is overseeing, and Pearce will executive produce through his Point of No Return production banner. Foster will join the project as the character “The Nurse.”

Foster has won two Academy Awards for her performances in The Accused and The Silence Of The Lambs. Recent acting credits include The Beaver for Summit Entertainment, which she also directed, and Elysiumfor Sony and TriStar Pictures. Foster most recently directed Money Monster, which premiered in Cannes and was distributed by Sony.

Foster is represented by ICM Partners and attorney Matt Saver. Pearce is represented by WME and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern. The Ink Factory and Marc Platt Productions recently collaborated on Ang Lee’s Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, which Sony Pictures released worldwide this month.
