Chief Strategy Officer
Rod Henwood is an experienced media and digital executive and entrepreneur. In April 2018, he joined the board of The Ink Factory as Chief Strategy Officer, responsible for strategic development, partnerships and story worlds (beyond film and TV into new areas, from games to brand partnerships), having been an adviser to the company beforehand. Over a 30-year career, he has held CEO and other leadership roles with major European and US TV companies, including Zodiak Media, Channel 4, ITV and Fox Kids. He has been responsible for major IP-based digital innovations, from launching 4oD/All4 while at Channel 4; through negotiating its involvement in the Project Kangaroo VOD joint venture with BBC Worldwide and ITV; to being launch CEO of Pottermore, JK Rowling’s online world of Harry Potter. He achieved a successful turnaround of Premium TV (now Perform Group, the leading online sports content platform) and was an investor in Bin Weevils (the kids online social world), which he sold in 2014. He is a governor of Ravensbourne University of London, and chairman of InQuisiTiVe Media, a subscription video on demand venture, specialising in intelligent quiz shows, which he co-founded in 2017.
