Tessa Inkelaar

Executive Producer

As Executive Producer at Ink, Tessa oversees the adaptations of Ink’s existing IP, along with bringing in original content with a focus on India and the South East Asian territories.

Prior to working at The Ink Factory, Tessa was Vice President Creative at the Cinestaan Film Company and C International Sales, managing both the International and Hindi slates. Her most recent film BOMBAY ROSE, a hand painted 2d animation by Gitanjali Rao, opened Venice Critics Week and was sold to Netflix. She co-financed  the multi BAFTA and OSCAR nominated COLD WAR from Oscar winner Pawel Pawelkowski. She worked alongside Cinestaan AA on global distribution of multiple Hindi language films including GULLY BOY (which opened at Berlin Film Festival), BADHAAI HO, STREE, BAHUUBALI 2 and  BHARAT.

Previously the Development Producer at Film London, Tessa was responsible for development of all short and feature film projects and schemes. Films included Ben Drew’s (aka Plan B) multi BIFA-nominated ILL MANORS, Sundance-winning and BAFTA-nominated Hong Khaou’s LILTING, Riz Ahmed’s Sundance short DAYTIMER, BIFA-nominated BALCONY and BIFA-winning JACKED, plus BAFTA-nominated THREE BROTHERS. She also helped establish the first Microwave International: India programme in collaboration with British Council and Cinestaan through which she co-produced Bornila Chatterjees’s  THE HUNGRY which opened at Toronto Film Festival ‘17. She coordinated numerous initiatives around distribution, sales, marketing, financing and pitching, and has delivered and mentored on international training schemes for talent in Croatia, Georgia, Holland, Sweden and Vietnam.

Tessa also worked as an independent producer, having delivered work for BFI, Film 4, Vertigo Films, Channel 4 and Creative England. She is a graduate of the Script Development diploma at the National Film and Television School, UK.
