Barry is the Head of Production and is responsible for the physical production of all of the films and television projects on the slate. Prior to joining Ink Factory, Barry was Head of Production at Warp Films for 19 years and has made 25 feature films, 10 TV series and several short films.
While at Warp he co-produced the feature film adaptation of the smash hit musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, the English language debut of Xavier Dolan, The Death & Life of John F Donovan , Ben Wheatley’s Kill List and Paul Wright’s For Those In Peril. He Executive Produced Andy Nyman & Jeremy Dyson’s Ghost Stories and produced Richard Laxton’s Grow Your Own, and The Last Panthers and Line Produced Chris Morris’s BAFTA winning first short My Wrongs 8245-8249 &117, and Dead Man’s Shoes, Warp’s first feature.
In 2006, alongside Mark Herbert and Robin Gutch he created Warp X, the low budget digital slate for Film4, UKFC, Screen Yorkshire, EMMedia and Optimum Releasing. Warp X developed and produced 10 low budget films including Tyrannosaur, Berberian Sound Studio, Bunny & The Bull and Hush, running the gamut from music docs to thrillers to Chinese social realism.
